1 - A near-perfect plan

Antwerp is in turmoil: the impregnable diamond mecca has been broken into. The whole world demands answers. Who would be so bold as to pull off the “heist of the century”? Amidst the agitated clients of the Diamond Center, there stands Leonardo Notarbartolo. Depending on who you ask, hes either a modest Italian jeweler, or the greatest thief in the world.

While Leonardo strikes a secret deal with the shady lawyer John Lovegrove, the chief of the Diamond Police, Albert Mertens, follows a new lead involving someone inside the Diamond Center.

Being romantically involved with a thief isnt easy. Anna, Leonardos wife, is well aware of this as she finds herself cornered by Mertens. Judith Dewitt, the director of the Diamond Center, also comes to regret her involvement with Leo when she finds herself in the crosshairs of the investigation. Meanwhile, a mysterious man keeps a close eye on Leonardo.
