1 - Sixteen Candles

Its Adams 16th birthday, but his parents are too distracted by Barry and Laineys engagement and Ericas band ambitions to remember their youngest sons big day. The situation presents an opportunity for Adam to ask Erica to put him on the high school social map. Meanwhile, Beverly thinks she can scare Barry and Lainey straight with the reality of being adults.

1 - Weird Science

Beverly and Murray move Erica into college where her roommate is also named Erica. Later, Beverly has a hard time letting go and ends up sleeping over in the dorm, much to Ericas dismay. Meanwhile, Adam tries to give Barry the perfect girlfriend, even trying to build one like in the movie “Weird Science,” as he embarks into his senior year.

1 - Breakfast Club

Adam works on his new persona for the first day of high school that he hopes will up his coolness level. Meanwhile, Beverly gets her teaching certification to become a substitute teacher. But when she is demoted to sub-janitor, she sends the Goldberg kids to a Saturday detention.

1 - A Kick-Ass Risky Business Party

Lainey, Erica and Barry plan a big party while Laineys father is out of town. Murray is annoyed by the amount of time Adam spends on the phone talking to Dana.

1 - Love Is a Mix Tape

Beverly intercepts the mix tape Adam made for Dana, thinking he made it for her. Barry shows off his new fake I.D., which is quickly confiscated.

1 - Circle of Driving

Hoping to receive a car for his birthday, Barry is shocked by what his mother gives him; Adam asks Pop for advice.

1 - Vacation

Beverly insists the family take a road trip to go on vacation to Disneyland before Erica and Barry go off to college; Erica worries about her relationship with Geoff when he tells her they need to talk.

1 - Airplane!

Beverly surprises the family with an end-of-summer vacation to Miami with the flight down resembling the classic film, and Geoff accidentally spills to Erica the real reason for the trip.

2 - You Got Zuko'd

Adams girlfriend, Jackie, is back after spending her summer at NYU; she has changed so much, its almost like shes a whole different person. After receiving some not-so-great romantic advice from his loved ones, Adam takes drastic measures to hold on to his relationship. Meanwhile, Beverly is not happy with Laineys less-than-ideal domestic skills and decides to teach her future daughter-in-law a thing or two.

2 - Hogan Is My Grandfather

Adam is assigned a term paper on a great person in history, and he decides to make a movie about his grandfather but finds all of Pops war stories mundane. Pops takes matters into his own hands and decides to tell more exciting stories based on an old television series. Meanwhile, Erica returns home to confront Beverly for over-mothering her. Murray insists Beverly teach Erica and Barry basic life skills, but she worries Erica and Barry will be too independent.

2 - I Heart Video Dating

Erica and Lainey try to find Bill a love match using some new dating technology and Adams fillmmaking skills. But they face some competition from Beverly, who insists on taking an old-fashioned approach to matchmaking. Meanwhile, a failed aptitude test leads Barry to decide to pursue being a gym teacher as Coach Mellors apprentice.

2 - A Chorus Lie

Beverly asks Miss Cinoman to let Adam -- who is going through puberty -- lip sync in the school musical. Murray inspires Erica to go to the homecoming dance with Geoff Schwartz.

2 - Mama Drama

Adam does not get the part he wanted in the school musical, leading Beverly to cast him in a rival show. Murray insists on leaving sporting events early to avoid traffic.

But when shes tasked with bringing in more customers, will Erica regret turning to Beverly for help? Meanwhile, Murray tries to teach Barry and Lainey how to be financially responsible adults.

Beverly confronts Coach Mellor who reveals his strained relationship with his own brother Coach Nick, so she intervenes prompting Nick to face off with Rick. Adam and Barry join in, each one siding with one of the coaches. After a fight breaks out, Beverly points out to Adam and Barry this could be them as adults. Meanwhile, Geoff and Erica struggle with their relationship long distance.

Erica and Adam follow the lead of Jan from The Brady Bunch when dealing with relationship problems; and Beverly reaches her limit when it comes to dealing with Murrays stubbornness after he causes her to miss the Beach Boys at Live Aid.

Murrays attempt at bonding with Adam goes awry when the two end up fighting over the robot they are building. Barry makes a huge mistake when he accidentally tapes over Beverlys beloved video of his 5th birthday party.

Prince Charles and Lady Dis impending nuptials inspire Beverly to plan a vow renewal. Barry hopes his band will win him Laineys attention.

Meanwhile, Adam finally finds a lunch-time home with some lovable geeks in the computer room, but Beverly worries about his social standing and intervenes.

Beverlys meddling in Adams relationship with Brea leads to a confrontation with her divorced mother, Vicki. Meanwhile, Barry struggles to reunite the JTP following his breakup with Ren.

Murray becomes an overzealous stage parent when he learns Adam has no interest in the school production of “Fiddler on the Roof.” Meanwhile, Beverly cant seem to keep from interfering with Ericas latest career plan.

When a situation at the hip store goes awry, Erica decides to make her own version of the popular outfit she wants -using Beverlys own sweaters

Adam chooses to spend Halloween night with Dana rather than Beverly, who decides to teach her son a lesson about the dangers of the holiday. Adam regrets taking Barry and Ericas advice to visit a haunted house when hes expected to go back inside to find Danas lost promise ring.

Beverly intervenes after Mr. Meller singles Adam out; Erica beats Barry at a new board game.

Their confrontation leads to a visit to the deans office.

Adam sets out to create a movie that will tackle racism but realizes he is out of his depth on the subject due to his sheltered upbringing. Meanwhile, Geoff is determined to teach Erica and Barry to become better people.

7 - A Wall Street Thanksgiving

During the holiday, Uncle Marvin reveals he has become a stockbroker and convinces Barry and the JTP to invest their money with him. Meanwhile, Erica tells Geoff she is in debt and gets swept up in the family investment. Later, Beverly invites 50 people over for a Thanksgiving potluck instead of stressing out cooking for the family.

7 - Ho-ly K.I.T.T.

A mutual love of Knight Rider brings Murray and Uncle Marvin to the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade to see the car K.I.T.T. in person. However, their bonding doesnt last long due to a slighted Adam. Meanwhile, Beverlys Turkey Day plans go awry after she invites Bill and Lainey to celebrate the holiday

7 - Lucky

Barrys dream of having a dog comes true, but hes disappointed when the pup takes an immediate liking to Murray. Beverly is upset not to be included when Erica and Lainey plan a girls-only sleepover.

As Erica resists helping Bev prepare their traditional Thanksgiving dinner, Murray worries that hes losing Adam to his neer-do-well brother, Marvin.

Meanwhile, Erica has a hard time making friends at her school and turns down a toga party invitation. When Barry arrives for a weekend visit, he quickly thrives on the social scene, easily making friends, unlike his sister. But a little pep talk by Barry helps Erica finally enjoy college.

8 - The Greatest Musical Ever Written

Barry starts to make fun of Adam for wanting to join theater until he finds out that Adam and Lainey have been cast in roles that require them to kiss; Barry decides to sabotage the production by joining the stage crew.

Beverly insists the entire family gather for the holiday, but tension builds when brother-in-law Marvin tricks Pop-Pop into thinking Thanksgiving was at his house.Meanwhile, Pops passes the torch to Barry and Erica to give the holiday toast, resulting in them trying to one-up each other.

Beverly enlists the help of Erica, who has recently declared pre-law as her major, to sue her cookbook publisher after finding her book in the bargain bin at a bookstore. Meanwhile, Adam and Pops bond while taking a trip on the wild.

Afraid shell be all alone in her old age, Beverly attempts to bond with other moms to form their own group like the TV show “The Golden Girls,” while Erica gets annoyed at Geoffs romantic gestures, almost causing them to break up.

Beverly substitutes for Barrys chemistry class in hopes to inspire students in the same way as Mr. Keating from “Dead Poets Society,” much to Barrys embarrassment. When Beverly refuses to give Barry special treatment, Murray pushes Barry to work hard and prove to her that he can get a good grade. Meanwhile, after accidentally embarrassing Emmy by reading a note about her in class, Adam enlists Ericas help to be a better friend.

As Adam and Barry team up in a rap supergroup a la the Beastie Boys, Beverly presses Murray to let her remodel their kitchen.

Erica asks Beverly for help finding Barry a date. Adam and Pops get into an argument.

Barry signs up for a holiday talent show at the school, but karate isnt approved as a talent; Pops coerces Erica into performing in the show.

Barry and Laineys wedding date is right around the corner, and Beverly is in her element as she tries to make everything perfect for her schmoopies big day. Geoff is concerned about Adams shortcomings as a wedding videographer. Meanwhile, Barry begins to have second thoughts.

Erica warns Geoff about going to dinner with her family to celebrate her birthday, but he insists. Upon arrival, its apparent this will be no ordinary dinner out. By evenings end, Geoff hits his breaking point.

12 - Snow Day

Adam and Barry learn about Murrays fear of snow when a snow day cancels school; the boys try to exploit Murrays weakness for their own ends and take advantage of him; Beverly finds Ericas college application.

12 - Baio and Switch

Beverly volunteers for Hands Across America in hopes of getting closer to Barry and Erica. Adam gets himself into a sticky situation when he promises to take his best friend and his girlfriend, Dana, to the school dance.

Adam tries to be funny in class but ends up distracting his woodshop teacher, who nearly injures himself when his tie is cut off so Murray grounds him. Meanwhile, Geoff and Beverly try to become more cultured so Erica will remain close when she decides she wants to attend a Phillip Glass concert but, in the end, they learn something surprising about Ericas taste in music. 80s band Hooters makes a special appearance.

Adam feels like hes losing his best friend, Chad, so he attempts to join the tennis team. When Chad picks Dave Kim as his partner, Adam vows to take him down with Barry in a tennis match, changeling Andre Agassi. Meanwhile, with the help of Beverly, Erica deals with her post-break up depression just in time for Valentines Day.

13 - Double Dare

Adam and Emmys favorite TV game show holds auditions at their school. Murray and Barry are upset the Philadelphia Eagles have been losing until superstitious Barry becomes convinced Beverly is their good luck charm.

13 - Van People

After Murray takes Ericas car privileges away, she and Barry retaliate by purchasing a used van; Adam is disappointed when he is voted nicest guy in the yearbook.

Beverly runs into her enemy, Betsy Rubenstone; Murray and Adam try to rent a video but are forced to pay a late fee.

As William Penns new Quaker Warden, Beverly is thrilled to have co-workers for the first time and sets out to make them all love her. To her dismay, its more difficult to win them over than she anticipated, as her reputation of being a difficult school parent precedes her. Meanwhile, Geoff competes in the “Mr. Ships Ahoy” beauty pageant to prove to Erica that he can be seen as desirable by other women.

14 - Hail Barry

Barry joins the football team but is quickly benched by Coach Mellor due to his lack of playing ability. He convinces himself the coach is testing him; but when Barry realizes the truth of his playing ability, Adam helps his brother understand there are other ways he can contribute to the team. Meanwhile, Beverly designs jackets that she tries to get Murray and Erica to sell when a national TV channel wont.

14 - The Spencer's Gift
