Sinopse:
Num dado momento, no continente de Telesis. A grande guerra que dividiu o continente em Norte e Sul terminou após quatro anos, e as pessoas dão boas vindas a uma nova geração. Violet Evergarden, uma jovem conhecida como “a arma”, deixou o campo de batalha para começar uma nova vida no serviço de correios. Lá, ela fica profundamente emocionada pelo trabalho das “Autômatas de Automemórias”, que carregam os pensamentos das pessoas e as converte em palavras. Violet começa sua jornada como uma Autômata e fica frente a frente com as emoções de várias pessoas e diferentes formas de amor. Há algumas palavras que Violet ouviu no campo de batalha, que não se esqueceu. Essas palavras foram ditas por alguém que ela gosta, mais do que qualquer outra pessoa. Ela ainda não entende seu significado, mas procura encontrá-lo.

Hodgins retrieves Violet from the hospital, as Major Gilbert asked him to look out for her. After they meet Gilberts relatives, he offers her a job.

Violet tries to adjust to her new job: she needs to learn typing, and her coworkers question whether she has the right demeanor for letter writing.

The Majors older brother is ordered to defend the signing ceremony from former Gardarik forces opposed to peace. Violet intercepts his train.
13 - A Autômata de Automemória e o "Eu Te Amo"
The signing ceremony concludes, officially bringing an end to the war. While writing letters for an air show, Violet composes a letter to the Major.
